What I Wore: Dress (Modcloth), Sweater (Marisa of Shades of Monet Chronicles), Shoes (Minnetonka), Belt (Old Navy), Bracelet (New York and Company)

Hey all, Kristian of Never Fully Dressed (Without a Style) here. Marisa  of  The Shades of Monet Chronicles was kind enough to put this adorable sweater up for swapping, so I'd be crazy to pass up this chance to borrow it! Crazy- wait for it- like a fox!

Bad puns aside, I sometimes wonder what makes one animal so much cuter and more likely to be on clothes than others. I mean, both my mother and my soon-to-be mother-in-law collect cow figurines, and I know they're not the only ones. But I've yet to see truly cute clothes sporting an udder. Whatever magic appeal some animals have on apparel though- this fox has got it. A sly, little smile and bright colors (which I paired with neutrals to keep things balanced) make this sweater a fun item to swap, restyle and remix.  Here's some of the other girls sporting the sweater below, and if you want to see how it's styled in the future, why not follow Flock Together on Twitter or Facebook?

You're Making me Blush

Hello there. My name is Katie and I am addicted to....this skirt... Oh wait, we weren't confessing our addictions? ...oops! Kidding aside, I really did fall in love with this skirt I borrowed from Kristian. It is made of the softest material imaginable and I just adore the color. I think this blush pink color goes with anything and everything. It is such a soft and romantic shade! I decided to pair some rusty/burgundy colors with it to play off of the dark sky we were having that day. I guess I like to match my surroundings :)

Did you all have a lovely April? It's difficult to believe the month is almost over and we'll be on to May in no time! School is finishing up, which is always a wonderful, blissful feeling. I like working in education because then I can still look forward to having some time off in the summer. How about you, any summer plans yet?

I'm so keen on how Kristian wore her skirt both times. Her classic style is so fresh and inspiring!

God Bless!

Mint to Be

It's Rachel from Floral Prints and Common Sense today with a pretty green dress from Jessica!
I wore this early in March after a weekend of good weather. I thought, "I'll dress like it's SPRING!" Yeah, no. I took the pictures indoors because it was complete yuck outside. All drizzly and cold! At least this springy dress made me feel pretty! And quite frankly like a mermaid!
I even got my Easter nails on.

Conehead

Hey it's Jessi! I'm posting a little late today so I'll be quick. The Hubby and I ended up with the same weekday off of work so we're enjoying a fun day together!
I love a cutesy print, so when I saw Katherine's ice cream print dress I just couldn't resist! How sweet is it? This would be a perfect summer dress to wear to picnics and barbecues but I got it on a chilly Spring day so I decided to pair it with my fur collared sweater and some funky heels.
I wasn't the only one who couldn't resist this colorful cone printed frock! It's definitely been making it's rounds. Here's how the other girls wore it, I love all the fun colors and creative layering!

Well, have a happy Thursday! Stop by my blog for outfit details if you feel inclined :)

My Heart is Smitten

Happy Wednesday!  It's Ashley of Southern (California) Belle and I'm super excited to share this swap with you today.  Jenna of Smitten has been quite the style inspiration for me so I was overjoyed when she joined Flock Together.  She has an amazing collection of dresses and tights that are always put together so perfectly!  So of course, I couldn't wait to get an opportunity to wear pieces of her wardrobe.

Dress- Swap with Jenna
Shoes- H&M
Necklace- Tiffany & Co.

When this dress arrived at my doorstep the weather was unseasonably warm.  It must have been fate because I was dying to show off the cut out pattern in the back.  It was really hard to keep this outfit as simple as I did, but I figured the dress was pretty strong on its own.  I love how Jenna styled this dress for the Canadian winter and I love being able to show it's summer potential :).

We Live in Pretty Prints

Why, hello again! You guessed it, it's Elana from Room 334 here and I'm so excited to share my first swap with Leah of We Live Upstairs! I was thrilled when Leah joined our group since I've been drooling over her wardrobe and mad layering skills since the moment I discovered her blog. I adored this dress (that I'm wearing as a top) on Leah when I saw it on her blog, but wasn't quite sure I could pull it off as well as she did. I love prints, but tend to shy away from intricate ones for myself without even realizing it. I tend to stick to solids, polka dots, and stripes and not even on purpose. I finally decided that since this was os unlike anything I owned, and exceptionally pretty, I wanted to try it and I'm incredibly happy that I did.

Just me, being attractive.

To feel like I was at least a little bit creative, I decided to wear the dress as a top and wore it under my favorite white pleated skirt. As usual, I couldn't help but throw a collar underneath and I was glad to see that this dress was the perfect way to finally wear this cardigan that has been sitting in my room untouched for at least a few months now. All that layering and I'm happy with how it turned out!

Of course, I still don't think I wore it even half as well as Leah. Doesn't she just look perfect? I'm on the hunt for a pair of booties exactly like hers!

The Scoop

Hello hello there darlings,

Marisa here today and being that I am currently 30 weeks pregnant - all I have on my mind lately is ice cream, and water ice, and custard.  Scoops and scoops of it, especially as the weather is starting to warm up.  Being that these icy cold confections are part of my craving as of late - I thought this little ice cream print dress from Katherine, was the perfect piece to celebrate my love for the creamy treat.

Of course, photos never happen in real time and as you can see these ones were taken pre-baby bump and before the snow melted, but nonetheless, my love for this dress and ice cream still remain. :-)

Outfit Details:
Dress: Swap via Katherine // Hat & Shoes: UO // Shirt & Tights: Target // Necklace: Etsy

Check out how sweetly perfect Elana, Katherine, and Jessica styled this delicious little number up.

That's all for now darlings.   It's a sunny one today and the ice cream is a-callin.
