I walked into work feeling pretty good about this outfit until I looked in the bathroom mirror and suddenly realized I'd been transported back to the Middle Ages. I blame it on early mornings and poor wardrobe judgments. Then again, there's nothing wrong with looking like a peasant...right? Surprisingly, one of my co-workers actually loved this outfit since she loves storybook looks. As long as you have one fan, that's all you need. ;)
If I had more time with Marisa's dress, I probably would have ditched the vest and went for an oversized sweater. You only learn through experimenting, right? Check out how she styled it down below - I adore it with the blazer.
que lindo look!!

I like this outfit and wouldn't have thought "middle ages" at all. I see why it has that flavor (with the vest-as-bodice). But the horses on the back make it totally fun and modern. And are those fox earrings? Love.
ReplyDeleteI really love the vest with this Jen!
ReplyDeletelove this! the dress is so pretty.. i like it! :)

Wonderful outfit! I love that swingy floral print Topshop dress and the way you model it. If I were a dress and skirt designer I'd love it if you modeled my haute couture. You styled that dress beautifully with the thrifted vest to complete a fabulous look. I love it.

I love the waistcoat! I used to wear one all the time but sadly my boobs grew (not all bad) and it wouldnt fit anymore. I love wearing them with girlish things for the contrast and you are making me want to go back to it again. Yours is just gorgeous and really unusual.
ReplyDeleteThis is a gorgeous dress, I love the pale colours in it!! And it looks so cute with waistcoat, a little middle ages yes, but i dig it
ReplyDeleteI actually really like the look, though it is a bit- sweeter/twee than you usually go for (but in a good way. Like birds help you clean your house because you are a princess etc.)
ReplyDeleteNow if only the birds in New York City would be a little more helpful with my laundry. :P
DeleteThat vest added a fun element to that gorgeous dress!
