Strangers You Know...

One of the truly strange things about blogging (or reading blogs, more accurately) is you know a lot about- and sometimes become friends with- people you've never actually met.  At least not in person, face to face. But the community of bloggers and of readers is real and vibrant. Which is why it is even more special when you get to meet other bloggers.

Yeah, guess what I did this weekend?

Meetup-08

She is just as vibrant, fun, and candid and intelligent as she is on her blog. We met up in Boulder, Colorado where she lives (my blog Never Fully Dressed is based in Cody, Wyoming; we were visiting friends near by), downtown near her apartment. If you haven't seen her recent apartment tour- do. It is even cuter in person, believe it or not. I also met her most recent foster kitties before we headed back downtown to take advantage of beautiful spring weather that had all the locals out and about.

Living so far from other bloggers, one of the things I'd never realized was how nice it was to talk to someone who knows. They understand the press of time to take photos right before sunset or talking to your real life friends still aren't quite sure what blogging is. You "know" mutual online acquaintances. In short, the conversation was easy and fun- this from an "internet stranger!"

Being bloggers, we of course had a photoshoot (thanks Amos, for taking photos). Is it weird to say that it was kind of intriguing to be watching the blogger photo shoot process from an outside perspective? Hannah also had a furry neighbor come to say "hi!" mid-shoot.

Thanks Hannah for a lovely time, and we both hope all of your liked this peek in at our afternoon together <3

It is about six or seven hours from Cody to Laramie, where a friend lives (and where my alma mater is!) . We were visiting her for a few days. So it was really only two hours to Boulder, which isn't far; it's about the same time it takes us to go to Billings for a weekend. Everything is so far apart in Wyoming you get used to driving a lot.

  5. Oh this is so cool! Both you ladies look so nice, and how amazing that you can finally get to meet some of your blogger-friends. I can definitely relate, it's strange that you feel like you know some of your online friends so well even though you've never meet them offline! xx

  6. I love that you girls were able to meet up! Both of you look gorgeous. It's funny because I always think meet-ups with bloggers might be a little awkward, but they're always really fun! Conversation flows as easily in person as it does online. :)
