Cat Call

Hello! It's Elana from Room 334 posting here on this fine Wednesday. I actually don't have any swaps to share today, so instead I thought I'd share the most recent way I've worn one of my favorite dresses and a few of the past ways I've styled it. I just sent this out to make its rounds to a few of the Flock Together girls, so seeing as it should be making some more appearances on here soon, I figured now was the perfect time to share another of my own takes on it.

I think it's pretty self-explanatory as to why I'm so smitten with this dress. I know that it's been all over the Internet ever since it first reached the H&M shelves last year, but I couldn't resist hopping on the bandwagon. The print is obviously darling, and the classic shape makes it an extremely versatile piece. This particular time I paired it with my most worn summer cardigan and beloved J. Crew statement necklace for an afternoon of smoothies and Home Goods browsing with one of my friends. I actually first knew I had to have this dress after seeing it on our former Flock Together girl Jenna, and I have to admit that I can't help but think of her every time I wear this dress. She's since left the blogging world, but her influence is obviously still present on my style.

I've worn it a million times, but I've only documented it on my blog a few different instances. I seem to have captured a good mix of stylings though, from wearing it on its own, to pairing a collar underneath it, to wearing it as a casual skirt.

I don't know about all of you, but I absolutely can't wait to see how the other girls style this dress. I'm sad to have it out of my possession for the time being, but I know I'll have plenty of inspiration for new ways to style it by the time I get it back. In the meantime, you can get your fill of Katz (that's my last name, get it?) by visiting my blog or following me on Twitter or Instagram. See you there!

  1. I like the idea of jazzing up a black and white dress with a statement piece.
