Hi Guys! Hannah from The Braided Bandit here. I am so excited to share with you my first outfit remix! I got this beautiful dress from the lovely Elana of Room 334 as a surprise in the mail. It has the most beautiful warm colors and fun paisley floral print. I immediately knew I wanted to try a Free People-esque bohemian look with it by adding this vintage white slip underneath and messy braids. Of course, the weather in Colorado turned pretty chilly immediately after I received the dress, which is where the lace up boots and sweater came into play. I really liked that this was actually a style challenge for me, as one of the main points of this group is going outside of your typical style boundaries and putting your own twist on a specific piece of clothing!
Outfit Details: Dress: American Vintage via Elana; Necklace: Vintage/ Gift; Sweater, Boots & Slip: Vintage/ Thrifted; Bracelet: InPink.
Check out how Elana wore it here! She is just too cute!
Almost the whole entire outfit I chose to style around my swap piece was either vintage, thrifted, or both! The bracelet set I picked out from an online jewelry retailer InPink after winning a gift card from a giveaway. This field is one of my favorite photo taking locations as there are usually not any people around. These were snapped right after the sun had disappeared behind the mountains, leaving a lingering warm glow behind in the sky.
I had so much fun styling this piece, thank you Elana! Thanks for stopping by Flock Together, I hope you all are having an amazing start to you week!
xo Hannah

Oh, how creative! I really love it both ways- with and without the sweater- and how it keeps that bohemian vibe!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving all of the prints you have going on here! So inspiring for fall layering. The slip underneath was a great idea. I'm finding a lot of the dresses I'm getting sent are super short on me, so this was a great idea to add some length! And how awesome are those boots...seriously!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, I really love the patterns of the dress and skirt together! Great job!

Love the combo with the sweater! The prints go together perfectly. And I'm digging the bohemian, mountain vibe with the white slip underneath.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty place for photos. I was wondering if you were freezing without the sweater! Ha. And of course I love what you came up with here! I already gushed about it on your blog :)
