Hi everyone! Rachel from Floral Prints and Common Sense here!
When I got this swap from Marisa, I could hardly wait to wear it. It's velvet and floral and vintage and everything a girl could want! It's kindof the perfect floral for autumn, and even though the leaves had just started to turn when I wore it, it was perfectly chilly.
I wore it with a cozy beret and some bright red heels, and missed it as soon as I sent it back!
details:
yellow shirt: handmade by me
tights: diy gone slightly awry
shoes: thrifted
A fun look. Funny how just something like a shirt can make it look like an entirely different piece of clothing though! I like it both ways.
ReplyDeleteI love it Rachel! I snuck a peak of this last night to see how you styled it, I will be posting the same dress on Friday I think! You are SO right, It is going to be so hard to pass it on with the perfect fall color palette and velvet vintage-y goodness! Can't wait to see how everyone else styles it too! LOVE you DIY heart tights, did you do a tutorial on it anywhere?

I actually followed a tutorial on Annika's blog, http://pineneedle-collective.blogspot.com.au/2012/02/diy-heart-print-valentines-tights.html
DeleteBut I accidentally twisted the tights around or something and one of the hearts ended up on the back of my leg!

ReplyDeleteI love what you did with this dress! I love how you layered it with the vest and added a knit beret. Knit berets are such a simple accessory, but they can really just make an outfit. :)
