Happy 2013 (Eve)!

I hadn’t intended to post this on New Year’s Eve on here but I think it works out perfectly; wouldn’t Hannah’s polka dot dress with Kristian’s lovely “flamenco dancer” skirt would be a great New Year’s Eve outfit? I couldn’t figure out what to pair these swap items with but happened to get them at the same time so wa-la, finally something I could debut my thrifted felt hat with and feel a little classy, which seems just perfect for a New Year party.photo (5) photo photo (1) photo (3)
Outfit details: skirt- swapped from Kristian; dress (worn as top)-swapped from Hannah; hat & purse - thrifted; bracelet- handmade in Mexico; necklace - Mom's gift from high school graduation.

And here comes the fun part, here’s how the other gals have worn the skirt and top! It’s so fun now that some of the items have been around more being able to put the looks together like this. You can see more of Catherine’s and Kristian’s outfits here and here in the handmade flower skirt. And Jessica’s post here, Hannah’s here, and Ashley’s here in Hannah's vintage dress. Untitled-1

I’ll likely be in PJs New Year’s eve since we’ll just be getting back from travels, but it's fun to pretend right? And if you do have any fun celebrations in store  plans we’d love to hear! I hope you kick off 2013 on a great note with loved ones and that this year brings you all you aspire to. And thank you all for helping this group end 2012 with a bang, we can't wait to share 2013 with you all!

thx

  1. Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier. Your hat is amazing! Isn't it a wonder the things you can find while thrifting? And wearing a dress as a top with a skirt over it is a really creative way to reuse a dress.
