Hello Loves! It's Katie from Butterfly Loves Snapdragons.
So, there's this dress that I'd been eying on Shabby Apple for the longest time, fully aware that I would never get to wear the gorgeous frock because it was decidedly outside of my clothing budget. It was mint green with white polka dots and a peter pan collar. Need I say more? Fast forward to Flock Together, and my vintage kindred spirit Hannah of The Braided Bandit put the very dress I had been swooning over up for swap. Ah, good things come to those who wait-or something like that. :)
I decided to delve right into the 50's diner feeling that this dress exudes with some black and white oxfords and my great-grandmother's cotton candy pink cardigan! I couldn't help it, the dress was just begging to be paired with another pastel, and there was much twirling and merriment to be had :)
Wearing:
Dress- Swap with Hannah
Cardigan- Great-Grandmother's
Shoes- Target
Bag, Belt- Vintage, thrifted
In a little mix-up I got this dress sent to me twice (seriously a mix-up I am ok with!) and I styled it quite differently both times. The first look is very sweet and light, and this second look is a bit more edgy with some darker lipstick and this jean jacket I am obsessed with at the moment. I love to take my clothing and give it a different distinct personality each time I wear it. I don't want it to ever look like the same garment. That way I feel like I'm gaining so much more versatility from my closet!
I really adore the way Hannah wore her dress! That little retro curl is so cute and the red and pink accents are genius paired with mint.
Jessi also took to styling this beauty. She added an extra collar for another dimension that I just adore!
This dress has been around to many of the Flock Together gals, so you'll be seeing more of it soon I'm sure!
God Bless,
KJA
