What I Wore: Dress (Borrowed from Erica of Sweets and Hearts), Belt and Shoes (Old), Petticoats (David's Bridal)
Hey all, It's me Kristian, and- whad'ya know! I'm in a petticoat. If you follow along either with Flock Together, or at my blog Never Fully Dressed (Without a Style), then you know me and petticoats. So when I received this nautical-themed red dress from Erica of Sweets and Hearts, and saw what a gorgeously fully skirt it has.... I knew it was Petticoat Time (like Hammer Time only less violent).
This all brought to mind the retro vibe of another Flock Together Gal- Katie. On her blog, Butterflies Love Snapdragons, she is always sporting lovely vintage hairstyles, so my single Victory Roll is in tribute to her.
As you can see, this dress has been a favorite at Flock Together; below you can see how the other girls have styled it.

You do petticoats like no other Kristian! I love the retro spin you've put on this dress. Seriously stunning!
ReplyDeleteMy god, I thought this dress was pretty before. But with a petticoat? You have taken it to a whole new level. Rock it.

Oh my gosh, you are the sweetest thing!! That was the first thing I noticed-your gorgeous hair! It suits this dress perfectly. One thing on my list of 'wants' is a full petticoat. I can't seem to find one in a thrift store, I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and buy one online or something. I never thought of David's Bridal, but I should look into that! I really love how it adds some length to this frock too. Also, I should tell you-I always enjoy the scenery in your photos. You really know how to showcase an outfit by choosing the best location, something I need to work on!
ReplyDeleteReally surprised you don't have a petticoat yet, actually! But they are expensive online. This one from David's Bridal is actually rather long (it is "Tea Length" and rolled several times. I think Amazon has some that aren't too badly priced.
DeleteYay for pretty vintage hair! So excited to see more tutorials from you :)
You look gorgeous Kristian!! the petticoat is just perfect, ads a super fun retro twist & your poses go perfect w/ the look- super classy w/ a pinch of sexy thrown in. Love your hair too - so pretty & my how long it's gotten!
