Happy July! Hannah from The Braided Bandit here. I know I say this every time I borrow something from one of the lovely Flock Together gals, but seriously, this dress was my FAVORITE! With a a gorgeous mint color, lace, and a fun scooped V back, I just could not resist when Jenna offered this one up. Thanks Jenna!

I have been wanting to shoot some pictures at this location for awhile now. It is a very run down abandoned restaurant in the back of a gas station near my house, and I knew I wanted to be wearing a more prissy outfit to create an interesting contrast against the backdrop. You can see how Jenna styled her dress on her blog here and here. Jenna is seriously the best at making sweet pieces look a bit edgier and she always has the best accessories! I of course took the complete opposite approach and went as sugary-sweet as can be. I love that a pastel lace dress can have so much different styling potential!
Hope you have a great start to both your week and your month!
xo Hannah
I love this!! The mint is gorgeous on you both! xx. McKenna Lou

Oh my GORGEOUS Hannah!! I'm obsessed. This dress and that coat were obviously meant to be! What a pretty coat and this location is killer! I love the coca cola bottle :) Just perfection.

the "a more prissy outfit" really made me laugh! I love your vintage take on the outfit w/ that pretty coat & the old location, which is super cool! Did you make that darling floral crown btw? Jenna seriously is the best at layering!

Omg, I love the pink and mint together. That dress is stunning on you (and I love that you styled it so differently that I didn't even realize it was the same dress!), and I'm obsessed with the pink jacket and floral crown with it. Beautiful!

What a gorgeous dress! I love how you both brought a different air to it--Hannah, with the pretty mint bubblegum look, so soft and dainty; and then Jenna went all hardcore and charred it up with black. Way cool! Goes to show how versatile something is. :)
ReplyDeletehow fun to see you really play up the sweet edge of this after seeing Jeanna do her magic of marrying the sweet and the edgy.
ReplyDeleteHannah, I love the coat that you paired with this dress - and you are so right, the backdrop is just perfect! Gorgeous!
