Merry Happy

Erica of Sweets and Hearts

Oh! This dress.

I was sad to send this one back! I know it's a fairly plain dress, but I haven't been able to find one like it anywhere. The fabric has a nice weight to it (hard to find in some knits), and it has such a nice fit! It's a simple dress with a timeless feel to it, so I didn't feel a need to add too much to it. All I did was add a studded black belt at the waist, the red beret my grandma crocheted for me, and tan heels.

I love the retro feel and deep burgundy tones in Katie's outfit--her lips and heels match perfectly! Elana cleverly styled it for everyday and layered a gorgeous cardigan over it.

Enjoy the rest of October and have a wonderful Halloween (it's my favorite holiday!).

  6. perfect simple dress :) I love the collar and that red beret is the perfect compliment to it!

  7. You look absolutely gorgeous, ten times better than I do in this dress! I think your dark hair perfectly complements the dress, and the red beret is lovely. So FUN to see this dress on a couple of other gals!

  8. This dress looks great on you and I love that your beret was handmade by your grandma! Sometimes theres nothing better than a neutral dress with great details like this collar, that you can personalize.
