Black Swan

Erica of Sweets and Hearts

Jenna's closet is one of my favorites to raid, of course. It was awesome getting to borrow this little black dress from her! I don't have a lot of dresses with sleeves (it's hard finding them in prints/colors I like) so it's always nice when I can try one from an FT girl. I absolutely love how this one is cut because it has a flattering wrap front and subtle fit-and-flare shape.

The little swans are crazy adorable too. I have a fondness for novelty prints--especially of the animal variety.

This outfit was from early fall and I was still in the summer mindset. I decided to keep it casual while still incorporating some color. I wore it with an open-weave bowler hat, a mint satchel, a brown skinny belt, and yellow leather sandals. Details can be found on my blog.

Outfit Details

This dress has done quite a bit of traveling. Here's how some of the other girls wore it:

Jenna | Kristian

Ashley | Elana

I think it's cool how you can see different ways to layer this dress above. Sweaters, tights, and scarves are such easy ways to transition cotton knits from summer to fall! Links for individual posts are under their photos.

Have a wonderful rest of the week!

  1. A lot of layers are happening in all the remixes. How funny. I like your simple remix of, letting the purse be the POP of color for you. You look great Erica.
