Switcharoo

Hi, Kristian of Never Fully Dressed (Without a Style) here. But ignore me; look at that picture. Just let it sink in a moment. Ashley, the lady behind Southern California Belle, is gorgeous right?

So is the skirt.

It's also- um, tighter than I was used to. It maybe showed off a little too much of certain imperfections. I'm a bit shy about stuff like that. So. Time to get creative. That's what swapping is all for. Re-imaging the skirt as a tube top  resulted in this retro, summer ready look.  Despite loving button-ups, its the first time I'd used one as you would a cardigan too!

Another unexpected change-up? The Boy and I took a day of drive meant to include a photo shoot only to forget the camera's batteries! Oops. Rather than the retro, it was technology that saved the day. Who knew back in the day that phones would ever take pictures, let alone crisp ones ready to be viewed on giant screens? Even a few shots got edited right on the phone.

Hurrah for turning surprising into something great! What's your favorite way to make an unexpected use of an item, be it clothing or something else?

    1. Thank you. We are a collective blog, so the Flock Together account does not "follow" other blogs, but the individual's behind Flock Together have their own blogs and accounts they use to follow blogs they like. Thank you for asking though.

We hope you choose to look at these individuals' blogs as well. :)

  8. Kristian, I absolutely LOVE what you did with my skirt :). I would never think to wear it as a top. I'm impressed with the way you worked a tighter than normal skirt (it's kinda too showy for me too). Oh, and I can't believe those are cell phone pictures! Amazing!

  9. What imperfections?? Seriously girl, you've got an amazing bod! But I love it as a top too! It's adorable layered with the denim and with that headwrap. And these are phone pics?! Your phone has a way better camera than mine!!
