Broken Record

Elana of Room 334

Not that I'd ever want to discourage anyone from reading Flock Together, but it's a wonder that anyone still reads my posts considering I have the same thing to say every time. I honestly have trouble writing posts that don't involve me gushing about how the Flock Together girls have the best closets, whatever I've borrowed fits me like a glove, and I wish I never had to give the items back. This sweet vintage dress that I borrowed from Hannah is no exception.

Hannah said that her pictures didn't do the dress justice, and I have to admit that she was right. I hope you all understand that that's saying a lot considering I often find myself drooling over Hannah's stunning photography. Yet even with her gorgeous photos, I still wasn't prepared for how lovely this dress was in person.

I decided to take a cue from Hannah when I wore it, and paired it with slightly tougher items (though let's be honest, nothing I own is really all that tough). Instead of blacks like she did though, I went with brown booties and a green jacket. It's a possibility that these boots won't leave my feet this fall, and I have no shame.

I can't get enough of of how Hannah paired her dress with a varsity-like jacket and (actually) tough booties. See her post here.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  2. I love those boots. I like that both of your looks are pretty similar but match the seasons they are in with just a little colour change. (Where is Hannah in that picture? Looks incredible!)

  7. i love love love this dress! both of the "toughened up" looks work perfectly! the top of the dress is really stunning— i've never seen a cut quite like it! and the pattern is great. i probably sound like a broken record too because i never get tired of seeing how differently y'all can style one item! seriously such a beautiful piece (and i am totally envious of your boots, katz!)

  10. This dress looks incredible on you- you should probably keep it ;) I love how you both styled it and "toughened" it up a little. Sometimes I get carried away with the girlieness so I feel ya on that!
