The Holy City

Hello! This is Kristian of Never Fully Dressed (Without a Style), and I'm so excited to share another swap/remix with you all! The lovely Dus, of Cuddly Cacti not only let me borrow, but gifted this fun, red skirt to me. Above she styled it for winter (Psst! You can find out more in this post of hers!), so below is a more autumnal take on the skirt to share with you.

The bold color of the skirt seemed to enliven a really grey day. Could have taken a note out of Dus' book and paired this with a sweater actually- those are snow clouds in the background! Still, the short-sleeved equally-bright yellow shirt seemed like a good "good-bye to fall." The brown belt and moccasins also have a fall-like feeling, perfect for rambling about in the great outdoors.

We wandered up to the Holy City on the highway towards Yellowstone. Teddy Roosevelt called it the most beautiful highway in America, though you couldn't really tell that with all the clouds! Still, though it doesn't look like much in the photos, these unusual rock formations are quite the sight; they are so-called because the silhouette matches that of Old Jerusalem.

  1. looks great on both of you! love your photos ladies!

  2. Lovely pictures, great colours!I like your blog. What about following each other?

  3. Aw I love this! You both have very distinct styles and styled the skirt so beautifully, but completely different. I just can't get over all your stunning locations Kristian! Makes me want to hop a plane and visit Wyoming. The contrast between the bright yellow and red against the grey sky and brown rocks is perfect!

  4. great!

  5. beautiful! love the bright colors :)

  6. I was def thinking how amazing those rocks and the whole landscape is so fun to hear it's such a famous site.I LOVE how you styled the skirt Krysten, so so fun and cheery and def a great contrast w/ the grey skies. Glad you got some good use out of it and thanks so much for the sweet shout outs : )

  7. I love the red & yellow together. Usually not a combination I like -- think McDonald's, but you did it so beautifully. Also you and your killer back drops.

  8. I somehow like this beautiful outfit remix even more because of the grey skies! I really love Dus's sweater with it, but you definitely did it justice with the bold color blocking. Snow clouds, oh no! I totally feel you there! Oh and while I am rambling... the photography for these is terrific!!! What were you shooting with?!
    xo Hannah
