Good Tidings and Great Sweaters

Oh hello there darlings!

It's Marisa here today :)  A couple weeks back the little band I'm in had the lovely opportunity to play for our town's Christmas tree lighting and really kick off the holiday season with a nice hearty helping of seasonal tunes.  These kinds of things always have me super excited and a tad nervous at the same time, and all I really wanted for the evening was to be comfy as I tickled the ivories and strummed my uke to my heart's content.  Lucky me, Hannah sent over this cozy sweater and I thought it was the perfectly festive but not too over the top piece to wear for this merry occasion.  So, the night turned out as joyful as ever as we did some rocking around the Christmas tree and jingle belling all the way through our sets.   Santa showed up on his firetruck...haha...and people were dancing in the auditorium like sugar plum fairies as we celebrated the love and laughter which makes this holiday season the most wonderful time of the year.

And here's how the gorgeous Hannah wore the sweater.  I love how she paired it with a red skirt, so I took a cue from her and went in the same direction.

Wishing you a week filled with plenty of holiday festivities, Christmas cookies, and a ton of merriment!

Love Bunches,

  1. Marisa you look darling! I love the blue tights and cute socks. And how did I not know you were in a band?! That is so awesome! You should post videos so we can hear :) My mom asked for a ukulele for Christmas this year so thats what I got her! She's wanted to learn to play since we vacationed in Hawaii so she's finally getting to it! That is so cool that you know how to play such a fun unique instrument!

  2. First off, I love how, as you described it, it is Christmas-y but not too much so! LOVE it paired with the red skirt. Its interesting how you both paired it like that yet -while both cute- the looks are so different.

  4. I ha no clue you were posting with this today and was SO excited when I clicked on over to Flock Together! I think this has to bed one of my favorite outfits from you ever! Well, I obviously love the sweater haha but the blue tights socks and loafers look SO great together!!! It's so funny because I am sitting here wearing this sweater as I type this at work, and also, and wearing YOUR dress on my blog today too! Hooray for swaps!

  5. It's nuts how it's basically the same outfit but looks so different! I love the colors in this outfit- that sweater really does go perfectly with a red skirt. And it does give the perfect amount of cheer without looking like a grandma's Christmas sweater haha. I love the patterned socks over the blue tights- I think they added the perfect finishing detail to make the outfit interesting and quirky. And yay, love the pictures from your event!
