Bordeaux and the Blues

Well hello there darlings, Marisa here today.

Ice, ice, ice and snow when it will end no one knows....

This is exactly my world as of late.  I guess you can say I kind of have the winter blues.  Anyone else out there with me?  Anyways, to combat my case of the humdrums, there's just something about putting on a full skirt and prancing around...yes, outside and in the cold.  Makes me feel like I am sticking it to old man winter.  Take that!

The very sweet Jessica sent this little darling of a skirt over my way and how thrilled I was to layer on a  cozy sweater, tights, and socks and my grandmother's booties for the cold and style this beauty up.  I'm absolutely loving the rich bordeaux and icy blue tones of the floral print on it.  Speaking of bordeaux, glass of wine to warm up anyone?

I just love how Jessica paired it with a sheer blouse and structured blazer.  It's office pretty with an classy cool edge.  See more from her look right here.

Happy weekend darlings!

Love Bunches,

  2. I'm definitely with you on the winter blues thing! Ugh. Spring needs to be here already!! I loved this when jessica wore it with all black and now I love your colorful remix! The mint sweater actually goes amazing with it and I LOVE those booties! How cool that they were your Grandmothers :) Beautiful photos as always!

  3. Love this outfit, the bordeaux colors in the skirt hat and booties are beautiful! I would love a glass of wine right now haha. Also, I got your fox sweater in the mail yesterday and it felt like Christmas, I am already wearing it to work today! Funny enough, I am wearing a VERY similar outfit to yours here with a blouse, turquoise sweater, and floral skirt! Great minds think alike! Happy Friday :)

  6. You don´t look like as you have the winter-blues - in the opposite: you´re looking really fresh.

For me the winter is still okay although we have at the moment lots of snow. I bought a lot of warm clothes this winter and so I´m don´t freezing what is really important for me.

  7. I love both ways this skirt was worn! It's neat to see the how the same garment styled so differently can really make it look like another skirt. Great for stretching the wardrobe! Love those burgundy tights.

  17. oh my goodness I hope you had some fleece leggings or something under those tights because I"m feeling cold just looking at this!! but anyway, I love your cozy sweater w/ the skirt & those tights pair perfectly with it. such a fun contrast from Jessica's chic, classic styling.
