Two Dresses are Better than One

Why hello there! It's Katie from Butterfly Loves Snapdragons. I have quite the wintry post for you today! When I received this dress in the mail from Marisa of The Shades of Monet Chronicles I immediately fell in love with it's flowing and free shape. It was rather short on me however, so I knew I had to get creative in order to find a way to wear it. I've had this 90's maxi dress in my closet for a while and always seem to pull in out when the ground is full of snow. The burgundy color is just so pretty against the white backdrop. As it turns out the two  dresses together created a woodland sprite look that was jut perfect for the flurry of snowflakes that were softly falling amongst a pale sky.

As much as I'm looking forward to spring I can't help but marvel at the beauty of winter while it lingers. One last admiration of its loveliness as the ground melts away and makes way for sun and flowers.

Marisa styled her dress in two very different and beautiful ways! I'm always in love with the way she accessorizes and her little hat is just my favorite. Be sure to check out the original posts linked below!

Enjoy your last few days of winter everyone! Spring is on its way soon :)
God bless,

It was majestic in beauty, with its spreading boughs, for its roots went down to abundant waters.

  5. Yep, woodlandsy is definitely the perfect word for this dress! It reminds me a bit of the little house on the prairie, too. And Katie, that green scarf brings out your pretty, pretty eyes so nicely! Goodness, you are lovely, and this is just a pretty set of photos.

  7. That is such a pretty dress (both of them actually!) haha, and I LOVE this new layering idea you've given me. Two dresses at once? You make it work flawlessly Katie. Haha, way to get creative to make that hemline appropriate! :)
