Hello, hello! It's Elana from Room 334 bringing you a slightly late post. I'll be honest, I took these photos yesterday feeling productive with plans to upload them and write the post today. Turns out the 11th is not, in fact, Friday as I had convinced myself it was. Alas, this post up a few hours later than I would have liked. However, even a delayed post can't take away from this gorgeous vintage skirt that I borrowed from Jen.
I've been enjoying my foray into longer skirt lengths summer, but my miniscule bank account, unfortunately, does not share my fun. Luckily for me, I get to borrow pieces from the stylish Flock Together girls in order to satisfy all of my fashion needs. This skirt caught my eye not only because of the length, but because of the intricate pattern. I liked that it had a slightly bohemian feel — a change for me. It's so hard not to borrow every collared and polka dotted piece from the girls, but I love getting the chance to try new things without committing to buy them. No surprise here, I loved wearing this skirt. It was perfect for a summer day of running errands in chunky sandals and a bun.
Pairing the skirt with similar colors as Jen was a complete accident, though maybe my subconscious was inspired by her. Don't tell her, but I'm hoping this means I'm just one step closer to being as cool as she is.
Here's how Jen wore the skirt on her blog. Doesn't she just look so relaxed and effortless? I told you she was cool:
