What I Wore: Dress (Elana; Modcloth), Cardigan (Old), Scarf (Target), Hat (Vintage), Sweater Leggings (Old), Shoes (hand-me-downs)
Hey all, it's Kristian from Never Fully Dressed (Without a Style). Hope winter's been treating you well. Isn't this building print the cutest- a good marriage of kitschy and design-y. It's what I wore down to Red Lodge.
We headed up to Red Lodge a few weeks ago after finding out bitter cold weather would be visiting us for the new little while- had to get in some fun before we could no longer go outside! Red Lodge is the cutes little town nestled between a narrow valley. As you come up over the ridge and can first see the town, it looks like toy town with play buildings, the kind dollies would live in! The downtown stores are rather like that too, with a movie theatre with an old, vintage marquee right down the street from the largest candy store in Montana and even this mural here. Each year, they do a Christmas Stroll which is fast becoming a tradition around here. Stores stay open late, carolers roam the street, fire places roar, chestnuts are roasted and if there's enough snow, there are sleighs. I am not even kidding. Sadly,we knew it going to be in the negative digits the week of the Stroll.
So we did the next best thing. I got all gussied up in this fallish outfit for a last hurrah before winter and we peeked into all the stores. No sleighs or chestnuts for us this year, but still- nothing like roaming a charming town in a charming dress to make you feel happy again!
Plus, even though this dress felt like a great fall/winter piece, these lovely ladies who how you can style it as a dress for all seasons!

ReplyDeleteIt looks so gorgeous with the coloured cardigan you paired it with m'dear :)
Ohh this dress looks awesome on you, Kristian! This is one of my favorite dresses that Elana has up for swaps - I'm dying to borrow it, but I don't think it'd fit me. I love how it could so easily be dressed up or down!
