Flower Power

Oh hello there.  How was everyone's holiday weekend? (for all you living in the States).  Mine was pretty lovely - you know, stuffing myself with plenty of BBQ goodies, picnic food, and strawberry shortcake.  Um, reasons why I just love summer...seriously now.

Anyhow, today I'm serving you up another swap - this one courtesy of Lisa and boy oh boy did I not just fall in love with the colorful little floral embroidery on this piece.  I don't wear many skirts.  I'm not sure why because I truly would love to have more easy pieces like this in my wardrobe.  This was my second time around with styling the wee beauty and the floral peplum top I wore it with, almost made me feel like I was wearing a dress.  As this was the beginning of May and there were hardly any leaves on the trees yet, I feel like my outfit alone livened up the brown surroundings.   Now how's that for some flower power?

I pretty much copy-catted Lisa and wore a red striped top with the skirt my first time around because come on, her outfit is fab.  And speaking of fab - Elana's comic print top.  Talk about some stellar outfits from these Flock Together gals.

Well, gotta run....the sun is out and the lake is calling my name.  Happy Monday darlings!
Love Bunches,

  1. I never thought a peplum top and a flowy skirt would work together, but they look lovely paired. It looks like a beautiful, summery contrasting dress. :)

  3. i love how you layered a short dress over it. i have a couple dresses that are just a tad too short for my taste. this is the perfect solution!
