Sooner or Later

Hello and happy Friday! As you might have guessed, it's Elana from Room 334 here to welcome you into the weekend. Do you ever have those pieces that you love, but for some reason can't seem to figure out how style? That's the issue I came across with this gorgeous Mitla Moda top I borrowed from Dus. I've been meaning to try out a Mitla piece for a while now, and I'm so happy to say that this top is everything I dreamed it would be. It's well-made, fits perfectly, and has beautiful detail...but it seemed like nothing in my closet worked with it. After a little bit of a struggle, I ended up turning this cotton dress into sort of a makeshift skirt, and I ended up loving how the colors worked together.

Of course, now that I finally figured out how to wear this shirt, I don't want to give it back. It's just such a great, unique piece, and I'm thinking that I'll have to wear it at least one more time before I send it back. You would do it too if you had this top in your possession and you know it.

Of course, while I was having trouble styling this, I should have just looked at all of the many ways that Dus has worn it. She has proven how truly versatile a piece it (click the first link to see even more ways), and I could definitely learn a thing or two from her example.

Well, since I'm doing that thing I usually do and writing this really late at night, that's about all I have for you folks today. Have a wonderful weekend, and make sure to visit me over at Room 334!

  2. SUPER cute! I'm always sad when I have those tops I just can't figure out how to style; I usually end up giving them away.

  3. The colourful print on the yoke of the blouse and matching trim at the sleeves is very pretty. You styled the blouse beautifully with your blue cotton dress worn as a skirt. Your silver fox ring is pretty as well.
