Sans Comic

Hello, friends. Elana from Room 334 here, and I'm sharing how I recently styled Lisa's adorable little blue skirt. I borrow (and wear in general) so many dresses, that I thought it was time to borrow something else. Of course, it would have made more sense to borrow a shirt or something else if I really was committed to mixing things up, but when I saw this sweet skirt on Lisa, I couldn't resist. I've been meaning to add some more colorful skirts to my collection, and this one's embroidery is the perfect touch.

Instead of going my normal collared shirt or bow blouse route, I was ecstatic when I realized how great the skirt looked with this Marvel tank top I picked up a couple of months ago. It's a crop top covered in comic book panels, and when I spotted it in Forever 21 for cheap, I knew the possibilities of pairing it with feminine skirts and dresses would be endless. I'm surrounded by the most lovable nerds every day (I really don't know how to make friends with anyone else), so a comic book shirt seemed fitting. I couldn't tell you the amount of conversations I've had and have listened to about comics, graphic novels, superheroes, and sci-fi in my life, and I wouldn't have any other way.

Somehow a moto jacket like this seemed to work as well. This look is kind of a weird mix of different styles, but I love the way it turned out. Even more than my own outfit, however, I'm completely smitten with how Lisa styled this skirt. The red stripes were made for it.

See Lisa's full post here.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Make sure to head over to my blog for the full outfit details and/or just to say hi. I promise I'm only a little weird.
