Clap Your Hands

Erica of Sweets and Hearts
I took these photos back in December, when it was still a little cold outside. The cute mustard yellow blouse with the collar belongs to Elana. I just love this shade of yellow! It looks good on almost everyone. I let it stand out on its own by wearing it with blacks, grays, and white. I wore it with my reworked vintage fitted cropped blazer (by Urban Renewal / Urban Outfitters, but found it at Marshall's on sale for $7!), a striped high-waisted skirt, by little bow booties, and cute fingerless scoop gloves (so feminine!).

Outfit Details:
Mustard yellow collar blouse (via ModCloth; swap from Elana)
Reworked vintage pinstripe cropped fitted blazer (Urban Renewal / Urban Outfitters)
Gray and white striped mini-skirt (c/o eVanity)
Dark gray tights (Forever 21)
Handmade charcoal beret (Leosroar via Etsy)
Black bow "Victoria" booties (Dolce by Mojo Moxy)
Cream rhinestone fingerless scoop gloves (Francesca's)

Here's how some of the other girls styled this top:
Elana | Katie | Jessi

These girls are so creative when it comes to layering blouses! I linked to their posts above, so don't forget to visit them for more photos and details of their outfits.

How would you style Elana's yellow collar blouse from ModCloth?

  2. Woah, I think it's funny how the three previous girls all wore it under a dress! I guess we just loved the collar that much :) You look great, Erica! That short jacket is such a fun piece and adds such a great proportion. Plus the gloves!! I love.

  3. That's cute how it looks like just a collar... everyone wore it under a dress, how funny! And then all of a sudden you wore it as a top as it is. It just goes to show how versatile everything is. I adore that pretty striped skirt with it, too! Such a classy look.
